Just learning

Lots achieved again today, Jon's parcels posted first thing. Made some green icing and cut out a tree for the top of the Christmas cake. Gathered all I need for 3 separate baking extravaganzas over the next few days. Returned the 6' Christmas tree, which had just been bought by our friend who died, to John Lewis. A gift card refund as it can't be refunded to her card, but her husband wanted it out of the house as he couldn't bear to look at it. Bought just 3 weeks ago!
Met another friend in Morningside for lunch. Back home I contacted the insurers about the car and within 20 minutes had completed everything with a, real person on the other end of the line, phone call with my insurance company. A hire car is arranged and will be available when they come to pick up mine. 5 minutes after I hung up the hours company contacted me to check all was in place and now its just down to timing. I can believe how smooth it has been.... mind you nothing has actually happened yet, its all just words.
Bridge this evening, and our party food night. 28 people there and all very happy and friendly. We came third out of 7 so that's not bad.
My blip was on my way home pm the bus in the rain. The little lab is only just a year old and was clearly quite perturbed by the busy bus. He was so trusting though and looking into his trainers face all the while. Good luck little dog, hope you make it, I know of somebody who would love to have you!
