Pelican feathers

When we visited Australia years ago, our Indigenous friend took us to his reserve. The women made beautiful flowers from pelican feathers to sell, and our friend's dad gifted us some pink and yellow ones. The pelican is their family totem, so it was a very special gift.  
It's been very cold and snowing all day, so I played with my macro lens on the old Canon Rebel. I haven't used the lens for a couple of years because it doesn't fit on the camera I use now. I've forgotten how to use the lens effectively, but I decided to post this attempt. I'll no doubt have time to practice with plenty of snow in our forecast! I posted another attempt in the extra. Lots of faffing!
