cake, coffee and friends

It was one of those lovely lazy days spent catching up with friends. My first stop of the day was the wonderful Manna House, even though these colourful array of cakes were saying "eat me" I resisted and left with a take-away coffee. Next stop was Hemma, a quirky bar next to Dynamic Earth with fake grass outside, dogs and kids not just welcomed but encouraged, and hasselback potatoes. A walk to Artisan Roast, a place where they serve (I think) the best coffee in Edinburgh - and another dog friendly venue. Finishing off the evening at an impromptu stop at the Jazz Club. A place I had forgotten about but absolutely love when I am there (without dog). Now that is what Saturday's are for.
