Simmering Tava

Oh, this was good. This was very good, and it was just the healthy nourishment I needed before Allegra's wonderful choral performance later this evening. Simmering Tava is an Indian food stall at the Bellingham Farmer's Market. For a mere $4, I received a very generous portion of a very flavorful mixture of chickpeas, onions and potatoes in a rich and spicy gravy (similar to daal flavors) accompanied by two freshly fried breads, similar to naan bread, only smaller, lighter and crispier.

Allegra's spring performance went flawlessly, and, according to many folks I spoke with, was perhaps our best performance ever in terms of repertoire and execution. The Peterson Conservatory String Quartet gave a stunning performance of a few movements from a Dvorak quartet, and BeMused Vocal Quartet dazzled us with a few of their tight harmonies. It was a splendid evening, full of warmth, emotion, and loads of good music.

Now, onward to another new season! Lots of new plans in store!
