Family meal disaster!

Booked quite a while ago, we went out for a family meal which was a celebration of my aunties retirement as well as our early Christmas get together.
Not having been to the pub recently, we were totally unaware of the new huge TV screens all around the pub, including the food area(which I found a bit odd). And until the World Cup Final actually started, it was OK, but the busyness of the pub and the huge delay in being able to order our food meant we were eating at around 3.45pm- right in the middle of the match. The sound on the TV was then turned up, and with all the shouting and excitement(from other people, obviously), we couldn’t hear a thing. We declined to have pudding and went home instead. Not the relaxing family get together we expected!!!

On the other hand, if you like football, it was a good match with plenty of excitement.
