Keeping watch

The starlings have been enjoying food in the garden, they come back every year to breed. In a few months they will bring their chicks for a few days before they leave.

This one was sitting on top of the pole watching, while others dug in the grass to find food. The sun was hitting is back and showing the wonderful colours in his feathers.
