At Swim Loadsa Birds*

An organised swim across the road at 10am - in aid of St Columba’s Hospice. So of course we felt compelled to go and join in - by buying some cakes from their stall, I should add. 
And then, the main event! Yes, France v Argentina in the World Cup Final (or as it bizarrely seemed to be billed nearly everywhere, Mbappe v Messi). What can I say, what a cracker of a game. For a long time France just didn't show up, and then from nowhere, over the space of two minutes it was two all. So… into extra time and Argentina deservedly go ahead. Surely it’s all over? No! A second French penalty. So, yes, extra time ended at 3-3 and it went to penalty kicks to decide it in Argentina’s favour. Joy unconfined. Even the SK enjoyed it.
