Dodd Wood

The triangular Fell is Dodd, part of the Skiddaw group.  It has had trees  (larch) for years, but recently many have been felled.  In the 60s there was a plan to replant Dodd with fewer conifers.  I remember watching at the old Visitors Centre, a video what would go where and make Dodd more colourful by planting deciduous trees around the bottom and so far up Silvia Crowe was the professional who produced the plan, Silvia is an  old Latin word for 'forest!  For whatever reason it didn't materialise as proposed.
The extra is what should have appeared yesterday and not January 2018!.  T he photo that is there is one of a set, but should be replaced by the extra.  Whoops!
