I so love this dead tree at Bassenthwaite which has been blipped many times.  I always think of it as my mum's tree as she loved dead trees and as today is her anniversary I thought I'd go and see it.  Lots of chatting on social media with my siblings this morning and sharing old photos of her which is always a pleasure.  Got caught in a lovely hailstone shower whilst we were there and met some lovely people to chat to.  There was a family of swans having a good feed in the lake, extras.
