Postcard from Cornwall
After rain throughout the night we woke to blue skies. To make the most of possibly the best day of my visit, mum and I went for a walk along Gyllingvase Beach stopping off at Pendennis Point first. Dad stayed to rest at home as he wouldn’t have managed the walk. Although he had been clearing leaves of their drive in the morning and also took stuff to the dump.
It was nice to get some fresh air. The young artist on the beach said he had been painting for about an hour and a half but had to be quick as the light was changing and the tide was coming in. Back home for a chilled afternoon and roast lamb dinner. By this time dad was really struggling with his hip again . It seems to be trying to sit down or get back up that causes the pain.
