Beaver Camp

My first beaver camp!!!

I had to admit I was dreading it a bit. I thought the weather was going to make it miserable, muddy experience.
I'm not good with new people that I don't know and chatting.

Beavers got split into groups and all did a number of activities - archery, climbing, dancing, games, fitness, treasure hut and design a cap.
They all had a great time everyone of them had a go at everything. Even when by the end they were tired they still kept going.

Our treasure hunt idea was a success - kids and leaders loved it. Socks with treasure in them and you had to guess what was in the sock.
One time managed to get all 30 and we made a boo boo and wrote the wrong team on the certificates oops. None of them cared and Alex was really good and shared the eggs out with everyone that he won.

Nathan got a medal for climbing on the wall as he has a problem with his legs so this was a great achievement.

Then alot of our beavers got the Bronze away which means they had achieved all 6 challenge awards - Kaben, Max, Harrison, Josh and Liam.

We didn't have any tears or fall outs, boys were all great. I was very proud of all of them and they didn't put me off helping again.
