Overall NT Figure Champion

Today was a long hard day at the Saltwater Classic Northern Territory Bodybuilding and Figure Championships. Started my setup in the theatre at 8AM and the event finished at 5PM. Back to my hotel by 6PM after "breaking down the gear" and packing up all of the equipment. The packing up is the worst part at the end of a long day's shoot.

It is generally speaking not a good idea to take photos while you are also shooting video as it is fraught with danger of messing up the video. However when the awards are being given out, your video camera is stationery while the winner poses for the official photos. That was my chance today to take photos of all of the winners.

This women in my blip is quite remarkable. She entered and won the Novice Figure Class. This qualified her to go for the Overall Best Figure in the contest award. She won that too, becoming the Northern Territory Figure Champion for 2013. Her name is Megan Warham.

Clearer Megan.

I am sure you are wondering about the trophy presenter in yellow! That is Vania Primmer, herself a former Figure Champion, wife of the event promoter, personal trainer - and also joint MC today.
Vania is a native New Zealander and she and her husband run the biggest gym in Darwin. It was a huge day in every way and the quality of the competitors was exceptional.

Now I need some rest! I fly back home leaving at midday tomorrow.
PS. Back home again and have replaced the original photo with a very similar but slightly better photo!
