Erica glandulosa

This is one of the over 650 species of Erica which grow in the Western Cape. Erica glandulosa is easy to cultivate which is why I have it in the garden where it attracts sunbirds. Many of the other Erica species don't do well in the garden as they hate being fed and fussed over.

Erica glandulosa is covered in gland-tipped hairs which makes it sticky to touch and it often looks quite dusty.
