Mt Elphinstone

It’s hard work shovelling aggregate out of the ute repairing rain damage to roads but then I thought “Hang on, things aren’t too bad!! Mt E in front of me, Black Billy over my shoulder and the family starting to arrive tomorrow for Christmas. And I can stop anytime I like for a beer.”
This is one of my favourite locations on the farm - it’s actually the 15th tee on the family golf course where, each year my brother James plays his only shot for the day (a ceremonial drive) and we all toast the family. Everybody then returns to the task of beating whoever we can by whatever means we can (fair or foul) for the honour and glory of winning the Megalong Classic.
