Ethan & Leia

Although we didn’t tell Ethan, earlier in the week we had made a vet appointment for this evening for Leia. Since her diagnosis in April, she has been getting checkups and steroid injections every 4 weeks. However on her last appointment (6 weeks ago), they admitted they fully expected her next visit to be her last trip there. And not to make the normal 4 weekly appointment as they had no idea how long she has left. Could be 2 weeks but certainly no more than 2 months. Her breathing has got worse this week and I’m worried I’m being selfish by keeping her going any longer.

Got to an hour before the appointment though and we just couldn’t do it. Didn’t help by how upset Ethan got when we told him when he got in from school. So we phoned the vet and have changed it to tomorrow.. Going to be a tough night.
