Coffee and Cake

After a failed shopping outing, that included a visit to the bank to collect Arnie’s replacement cards, that weren’t there despite being assured they were, he decided that only cake would lift our mood.

The umbrellas were great to keep the sun off but with gaps in between it felt like we were in a tent.

The bonus from our visit, other than the cake, was that our friend Harry’s brother was sitting at the table next to us. Theo and Harry have properties in the same block in Manhattan but Theo has not been able to visit for three years, partly because of the Covid restrictions, and because he chose not to get vaccinated. They did manage to get together last month however, in Iceland of all places.
