My Choir

We held a concert at St Pancras Church on Saturday evening but, before we sang, we went to the railway station where there are two pianos with 'Please Play Me' painted on them. They are old 'Joanna's' not particularly tuneful but good enough for a non purist and the echos in the setting help.
We assembled around one and sang three songs to the passersby's, some of whom stopped to listen and graciously applauded.
It is such a brilliantly, popular idea, in a busy 'pass through' space, to have pianos where music can be played and make a connection with stressed travellers. Who ever thought of it should be congratulated. An idea to be spread I think.
