back again

Supposed to be Going to Eastbourne DGH for a simple procedure.
Up at 04:30 (wtf!) to be ready for Patient Transport (private operator, subcontracted to NHS service) at 05:30.
Turned up at 06:30, so far, so good.
Hoisted J onto the stretcher trolley, quick roll to get the hoist sling out.
The Transport crew managed to roll J off the trolley onto the floor, bounced her head off the radiator cover, landed on her hip.
Ouch.
Paramedics called, decided J needed to go to A&E.
More paramedics arrived with a van, lots of paramedic banter and off to hospital, a different one, operation already cancelled.
Tests, x-rays, loads of waiting, all clear off home.
Once Patient Transport was arranged...
Uneventful but slow return home, at 18:30...
