Another fabulous day in the company of a long-standing friend. This time I trekked right across London on what should have been 3 trains but turned out to be two buses and two trains to see my wonderful Greek doctor friend. She was straight out of medical school when I first met her in Glossa village and she was helping me to book appointments with specialists on the mainland because my Greek wasn't up to automated telephone systems. We've been firm friends ever since. She came to live and work in Britain several years before I did and I don't get the opportunity to see her as often as I would like. She is now married with a ten-month-old baby and it was just such a thrill to see her again and meet the baby for the first time.
