Pincer
As we ate our goat meat at the office BBQ, Dennis and I sandwiched our departing colleague Azaria, performing a pincer movement on him in case there is anything that can convince him to stay. Although we had a good discussion, his mind is made up.
In the midst of wrapping up work (which will only partially spill into tomorrow…), I am querying the draft of a consultant’s report. In it he has stated that Tanzanians are consuming 11 kilograms of fruit and 42 kilograms of vegetables per day. It may be December and everyone is knackered, but I still have an eagle eye for a dodgy stat. Tanzanians are not rodents able to consume their body weight in leafy greens every day. We gave it a good go with the BBQ selection, although goat is a bit gamey for my taste.
