Special times

We have had a lovely day together. John went climbing with a friend. Jasmine went to town with a friend. And I spent today with my little friend, Jaden. He has his SATs tomorrow. I wanted today to be special and stress free. Unfortunately he had homework to do first: 5 pages of grammar exercises and a 45 minute maths test. Makes me so cross and sad for him. Their school is so test focussed. I bet after next week they hardly do any work.
We then got to town and had a lovely walk on the beach, followed by an ice cream. We had a quick shop spending the last of Jaden's birthday money. He got a remote controlled helicopter. Loads of fun. Now we are chilling out in front of the TV.
