Cynthia
It's raining this morning. How very dare it!
It wasn't raining yesterday afternoon, but sunny and warm, when LocalFoodLover took Berkeleyblipper and me under her wing while we toured Bellingham Farmers' Market ( much much more than produce stalls), viewed ArtistAnnie's exhibition of paintings, had a chat with her and husband Arvin in the Fairhaven Book Store, put a dainty foot or six on the boardwalk by the water, checked out the beautiful Lake Padden and saw my first bald eagle sitting high up on a tree. It was a wonderfully action packed afternoon.
Meanwhile Pilipo had guided His Lordship and Oilman round a fair few beer cellars, so that when we ladies returned we found them in a very jovial mood. So jovial in fact that we had to take a taxi to our Night -before -Mother's Day celebratory dinner at a restaurant overlooking the marina in Bellingham.
It was with genuine sadness that we waved an 'Au Revoir' to our hosts for the past two days.
They could not have made us more welcome. I'm sure we will meet again.
Today in the rain we are heading south to Mt St Helen's, of volcanic fame, stopping en route to meet more friends from Port Ludlow, who have kindly agreed to meet us in Tacoma for lunch.
2day Diet, eat your heart out!
This is Cynthia, the chicken from the Farmers' Market who begged to come to Scotland. How could I resist?
