Day 9. Time to keep track as they slip away.

This gal sure has slipped into sleep. She is the picture of tourist and the stuff and exhaustion! Seemed like streets were less busy. Folks have gone home perhaps?

Others are from walking to Museum of Resustance and the effort led largely by Jean Moulin. The history had enough English that I could follow. Really striking film of the Americans entering Paris. Fighting in streets, citizens women kids and all building barriers. The fighting did not last long. It was all so moving and such a portrayal of endurance.

Also a show of six women war photographers. Their work in wars since WWII around the world so impressive poignant descriptive. Gardo Taro, Lee Miller, Christine Spengler, Francois Demulder, Susan Meislas, Carolyn Cole, and Anja Neidringhaus.

Walked cross town to the Henri Cartier Bresson museum. His work was up of Bristol photos along the sea alongside that of Martin Parr. Interesting together. I will always love the former HCB and the small format mono. But great work from Parr and the joining the two makes sense.

The highlight there a woman I have never heard of. Jan Groover. From NYC or at least worked and lived there. She and her husband moved to France with Bush senior politics and what they saw rising. Her images are really worth looking up.

I need to make a list now of what I want to be sure and see and do between now and 1/5! Never rained!
