Floods

Not the best shot but I grabbed it while waiting at the lights. We had a humongous storm this morning and it has left a lot of standing water on big roads and little roads - this is a big road, the A20. It wasn't moving very quickly but none of the roads are moving much. I needed diesel so I decided to go to Big Tesco (that's the one at Leybourne) and it was a crawl all the way including queuing for half an hour to turn into the car park. I'd normally have gone elsewhere but I needed the fuel, so I waited - with a view to driving through the car park to the petrol station. As it was, there were plenty of spaces in the car park so I got some shopping - including the battery for the smoke alarm. Getting home was equally fraught, traffic jams everywhere. But it's all good now, work is done for the year, and I've got what I need for the weekend. I may even have a glass of wine later.
