Emergency Blip

I didn't have a photo so I stuck my head out the back door and snapped this shot.  We have snow or ice...it is crunchy. The birds were pecking on the top of the railing in order to get water so I put out fresh water several times, but it keep freezing before they were brave enough to come to drink it.  

We were supposed to go to our son's house tonight for dinner to celebrate Christmas together, but he canceled because he was concerned about my husband walking from the car to his front door. His driveway is steep and slippery. We rescheduled for Sunday after church. Ellie face-timed me several times today to check on us; she wanted to be sure we would come on Sunday.
