End of an Era

A happy/sad evening as the climax to 47 years as founder and musical director of Chiltern Chamber Choir retired.  He had chosen Bach's Mass in B Minor as his Swan song and, I must admit, it was a stunning performance.

The choir had had a 'whip round' and presented him with a cheque as a parting gift. He has been an inspirational leader and musician over many years. I'm sure he has lots on his 'to do' list without CCC to get in the way.

Too late back and too tired to post last night. It had been a long day of rehearsal and performance. Those of you who've sung the B Minor will know it's a tiring task.
