Sultans of Spring

These have to be the biggest, most beautiful tulips I've ever seen! They are the bulbs I brought back from my holiday in Amsterdam last year. They're called Sultans of Spring, and I bought them to go in the memorial section of the garden we have set aside at my Mum's in memory of Dad. Dire Straits were one of his favourite bands, so when I saw the name, I had to buy them. They're taking a bit of a battering from the wind at the moment, so we moved them inside for a bit. The photo doesn't really do justice to just how huge they are!
