A dyke, a road and a lone tree

It is a pretty typical view on the South Holland fens. I made a casserole in the morning and then went for a walk down to the river, only to find that the footpath had been blocked by work to build a new bypass. I packed a few presents and then went to visit two of our friends who we haven’t seen for at least two years. We then went to the vigil Christmas mass. We will set off in the morning for the Peak District.
