Warnings of 17 million taking to the roads today prompted us to set off at 5 am for Stratford on Avon and apart from having to set off in darkness we made good time.

Poppy was in good form dressed in her England World Cup strip that she appears to wear most of the time - she even wore it to the Christingle service accompanied by her elves Chip and Biff . The next few days will be lively !
