Cooking day

It was all about the cooking today. I will cook the turkey tomorrow but the gammon and beef are all done and ready to be enjoyed over the Christmas break.  It will be the first Christmas cooking in the new oven and kitchen and so far, so good.

Bobbie came around for the day so the kids opened their stockings and then got us to do some quizzing on Netflix.  It was the girls v the boys and Bobbie and I well and truly trounced Ian and Leo I am happy to report.

I have been fighting off a headache for days and hope a good night’s sleep will see it off once and for all and that it doesn’t turn into a migraine.  It is stubbornly not disappearing when I dose up with painkillers so I am hoping for the medicinal magic of a good sleep. I have come to bed nice and early so let’s hope that does the trick.

Tomorrow’s plan is fairly lazy.  After getting up to open pressies and have some breakfast I will head out to ring for the Christmas service around 9:15. Then back to cook and enjoy a nice Christmas lunch. And then feet up for the rest of the day, to watch some tv and snack on goodies.
