Haddo Trout Lake

Coffee and cake at Formartine's this morning, followed by a walk along their woodland trail, where we came across these mallards swimming placidly on the calm, mirror-like surface of the Haddo Trout Lake.

Fluttering around the margins of the lake were a number of medium-sized white butterflies, which we identified as Pieris napi, Green Veined White.
