B.A.C.K. to Basics

Always Work

Living in Maine has presented its challenges this winter (and we’ve only just begun). Last weeks snow storm and this weeks warmup and torrential rain. It warmed to 50 degrees within 8 hours making the slushy precipitation turn to straight rain. And lots of it. So much so that Bj was called back into work as one of the programs lost power, generator failed to start and the basement was flooding without power to run a sub pump. It was a four plus hour job and he may need to go back tomorrow to double check the situation in daylight.

Upon returning home, we discovered that our basement suffered from flooding as well. Only a few inches for us, but still a major inconvenience and a lot of work to clean up.
