Bauble cake

I decorate my parents' Christmas cake whenever I'm with them for Christmas. This year's attempt (done yesterday) was baubles - they worked quite well because the icing was quite thick and the colour didn't run!

We all went out for a walk around midday when the weather forecast said it would not rain for the next couple of hours. Sadly the rain came a bit further east earlier than expected and we got a bit wet! Having squelched our way home we warmed up with sausage rolls and mince pies for lunch! Dinner is now cooking and smells good!
