Christmas slippers

J asked for new slippers for Christmas, and researched all the options online. She chose well: these are very cosy and soft and will stay on her feet, as well as being colourful and fun.

We've had a quiet but very nice day. P has cooked an excellent (vegan) roast dinner, as well as waffles for breakfast and a light lunch. We've had a blazing wood fire, candles and good wine, and we have new books to read. Despite the challenges of the past year and the mess and turmoil of so much in our world, we have a lot to be thankful for. Whatever you celebrate at this time of year, I wish you happiness and hope.
