Young Red Deer

An early walk and chance encounter with some young stags who were grazing in a local field.  I was thoroughly unprepared but managed to get this quick shot.

Today was preparation for tomorrow's hosting of a family Christmas gathering here at home.  We might not have enough people coming to eat all of the food we have prepared!

In the evening we visited family for a Christmas Eve gathering, including being able to congratulate a recently engaged young couple.  These days we were able to share in the moment of proposal on a beautiful  beach in the far east recorded on his phone.
