Boxing Day Dip

I had booked to do the swim at Morecombe Bay, but when I arrived and saw the waves I decided to do the dip instead. I’m so glad I did as it was so much more fun. The swimmers just got in and swam off round the breakwater, but the dippers dressed up and had such a laugh as we all got in. I even bumped into Christine, I’ve not seen her for a year at least. There were all sorts of fancy dress costumes. It was hilarious, exhilarating, cold and bloomin’ marvellous fun.

We went for a mooch around Heysham afterwards. It was a quaint place. We are definitely going back there for a good nosey around….and another dip!

What a great day. I’m completely shattered now.
