A Short Season.
The end of May always has a special treat in store for those of us fortunate enough to live in this part of the world. A local farmer produces some of the best asparagus ever. They stalks are big, fat and juicy and when accompanied by some homemade hollandaise they really are something well worth waiting for. It will all be over within a week or two, so I plan on making the most of it while it lasts.
