Cabbage white butterfly
I like the cabbage white butterfly but its larvae are destructive to plants, especially the brassicas. In our garden, the setting for the photo, we have mustard plants which we don't eat or use for any purpose so the grubs can munch away. If we come across any grubs we don't encourage them.
Something I like about macros is that you can see things you don't with the naked eye. In this case, note the coiled proboscis for inserting deep into the flower to extract nectar.
