End of winter beetroots

As well as dahlia tubers, I unfortunately lost my last 8 beetroots to the frost (they'd gone all soggy and horrible) so I've lifted them from their bed and added them to the compost heap.

I didn't want the soil bare for the rest of the winter - I forked the soil over quickly and broadcast a couple of handfuls of mustard seeds, which I've known to germinate in low temperatures. We'll see what happens!
