Fly Fishing

How annoying. I have accidentally deleted the pic of my first longhorn moth of the season that I intended to post. :( I have also deleted my first pair of St. Mark's Flies. They usually emerge on St. Mark's Day, the 25th April. It goes to show that the season is running about three weeks late.

I made a quick visit to Fishers Green to check on my Great Crested Grebes. She was covering the eggs with dead leaves and I could see that they have at least three eggs left. The eggshell I found on the path the other day was definitely one of theirs.

He was fishing nearby I and I caught him in the act of catching a fly.
