The age of the train

I hope you have all been having a great holiday.

I have just checked how far I am behind with my Blip Admin and wish I hadn’t. Apologies for the lack of comments etc since last week.

My son had to travel back to London today by train.

No trains from Warwick by Chiltern Railways so it was GWR from Evesham. First train of the day was 13:30 to Paddington but this was delayed by almost 40 mins. 

To make matters worse GWR only provided a 5 carriage train of which 30% were Business/First Class.

The train had only made two stops after leaving Worcester but most people getting on at Evesham were having to stand all the way to London - a journey of at least 90 mins.
