Today mum took me on a tour of the place where she worked for 30 years after she retired from her previous job (merely 20 years). This stained glass is in the little private chapel there. It was donated by Lord Melville in 1850 but the glass in it is Medieval.
On our way we passed a house that has an information board outside. I cannot now remember the subject of last year's interesting facts, but this year it is reindeer. Lots to read about in a beautifully presented panel complete with illustrations. My favourite reindeer fact is that they do not have internal body-clocks, which helps their sleep-cycle and metabolism cope with long polar nights and days. Of course, we know that reindeer have external body-clocks because I blipped one of those just a couple of days ago.
