50's Glamour

After spending quite a chilly morning watching James play cricket this morning, we headed to Chestnut Avenue to watch the annual 'Chestnut Parade' at lunchtime. I'm glad to say that it wasn't as windy here as it had been on the cricket pitches.

The parade was great and had the usual mix of army vehicles, motorbikes, old cars and old bikes. This lady caught my eye as she was slowly driven up the avenue in a stunning black 50's car (really don't know what make it was, but it was very cool!) Such a great look... especially the scarf!

We watched the parade, had a picnic with friends and then played some football... kids v adults and even I got up and had a go...although I can truely say I was the weakest link in the adult team!
