I didn’t get the Boxing Day walk I’d hoped for but today’s walk made up for it. I like the idea of a cold, wet and windy walk followed by a pub lunch. Today we did it the other way around. We spent the majority of the day with the Browns, which was nice. I’m learning that it takes me some time to warm to the company of people I haven’t been around for a while. I’m very antisocial until I warm up. I think I find people more pleasant and they probably find me much easier to be around too after just a bit of time together again. Getting used to not having work to think about also helps. After the walk, we came home to a lit fire and played code names, drank wine, eventually ate supper, and reminisced until we were all ready for bed.
