Ice skating anyone?

We had a high tide last Friday that flooded the back yard. Most of the water receded but a puddle remained and froze. Seemed to get bigger. Hubby filled the pond after the big blow of the NW wind. Today I walked out to the pond and it was almost empty again but we have not had a big wind. Turns out part of our pond fountain sprung a leak and the pump pumped the water out. Now we have an ice skating ring in the back yard. Hubby has rigged up a temporary fix and refilled the pond. Thankfully we did not loose any fish. It must have felt like the tropics with so little water and the pond heater running.
