Rascal
Today we only had time for a quick walk around the park on our street before dark. (The morning was spent at the hospital with my husband's three-month check-up for his cancer. And everything was fine).
But back to the park..... I caught sight of something in the water. Not the usual ducks or gulls, but a little rascal. It was a dipper! (white-throated dipper, Cinclus cinclus.)
What, you think, a regular dipper is nothing to get excited about. But, it is not so common here in town and we have only seen it a couple of times in his very specific place. And now there is one in the park on our own street. Are we not fortunate.
