Morecambe Bay

A mid morning departure for L, A and C.  I am not sure they really wanted to return south as they enjoyed their time here - C in particular loved the scenery and said he feels very relaxed here..  It is such a pity, though, that the weather was so wet during their stay.  Typically, today it was drier and a bit of sunshine, just as they head south..

We have had such a lovely Christmas with them.  We went to dinner with them at a local hotel last night which was very tasty and we had a good evening.

Sad to see them go, but plans to see No 1 son in March and No 2 son again in January.

Dad FaceTimed just after they had left.  My brother has suggested that we think about his future carefully and that will include selling his home in Bucks.  Dad seemed more sanguine than previously.  Options would then be to remain in the care home in Whitstable or to purchase a small bungalow there near my brother.  He accepts that he would need care several times a day with the second option.  Hopefully moving in the right direction.
