Messi fan

I'm writing this a couple of weeks after the event, so I can't remember much of the morning or afternoon, but it was GREAT to get an invitation to go and watch today's World Cup Final at the Voice office. They have a large screen (2m x 3m). Only a handful of friends and family were told about the private screening. :))

G & I started by supporting Argentina (mainly because it would be great to see Messi win the ultimate title in his field). We soon switched sides and were probably the only two people in the room cheering for France. Not too loud, I have to say. What an incredible final! Well done to both teams, who were both worthy of being there.

We drove down to Maktoum Street with Susan and Gladson to get a bit to eat - shawarmas. We might have stayed out longer if they didn't have to race home to let their son into the flat. He had gone out to watch the final with his friends but forgot to take his keys. :(
