Orchid

This is an orchid that I had at Christmas time 3 years ago. This is its third flowering and I really like it.
I hope all my blip friends have had a lovely Christmas!

We have had all sorts of things going on.
Our youngest son, fiancée and 3 month old daughter came from Toulouse for Christmas. It was so lovely to see them and our youngest granddaughter is absolutely delightful . She is the smiliest baby we’ve ever seen! We had a really great time.
Our son wanted to take his family over to Sheffield to see his older brother and family. I had had my car (which he’s insured to drive) serviced and a new battery all ready so that there wouldn’t be a problem. Then on the day the car wouldn’t start. Our neighbour who is a car expert came round and it was the starter motor. So they couldn’t go.
H has had all sorts of dreadful side effects from the chemo so has had to stop it. This has entailed multiple phone calls to the hospital specialist nurses and pharmacists and messages via a stand in consultant as his consultant is away.
Then we have problems with our heating which has entailed multiple phone calls and visits and conflicting messages from different engineers. One of the phone calls entailed a 3 hour wait which cost £26!
It’s still not mended.
Then one of our very best friends died suddenly and totally unexpectedly on Boxing Day.
We have had tickets booked to go and see our daughter and her family in New Zealand on New Year’s Day and we were wondering whether we’d be able to go, but in light of all this we are going to go:-)
I took the decorations down today and we’re almost packed!
