Rotten Cabbages

Always, when there has been a frost, the allotment smells of rotten cabbages.

It's surprising that these winter vegetables turn to mush so quickly. I'm sure I am doing something wrong, it doesn't seem to matter which variety I use though. A challenge for next year. I need to ask the owners of this plot which variety this is. Who knew a cabbage could look so pretty.

Otherwise a quiet day catching up. We'll until the Sherbles turned up with Bang!, great game. We also got our first glimpse of that growing baby. I think it's a whopper!
